Registration
The public registration of 5IWRP opens from 17th January 2019 to 12th April 2019.
Registration fees are listed as follow:
- Workshop Registration
- Professionals: USD $460
- Full-time Students: USD $230
- Field Trip: USD $50
The field trip involves a half-day guided tour (with a considerable amount of time spent on sea) and a post-trip lunch, in the morning of 27 April 2019. 70 participtants could be accommodated, quota reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
Workshop Venues
The technical programme of 5IWRP will be held on 2/F, Yasumoto International Academic Park (YIA), The Chinese University of Hong Kong . YIA is closest to MTR University Station Exit D, in 5 minutes of walking distance.
Conference Dinner is to take place at Royal Park Hotel, which is in 10 minutes walking distance from MTR Sha Tin Station through New Town Plaza.
The destination of Field Trip is Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark. Shuttle transportation from CUHK and ferry service would be provided.
Transportations
It is strongly recommended to obtain an Octopus card for commuting around Hong Kong conveniently. Octopus card is a contactless stored-value card accepted by most of the transportation venues, retailers and public facilities in the territory. They can be purchased at major transportation terminals (e.g. Airport Arrival Hall and MTR stations) and are refundable upon surrender.

- From Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), take bus A41/E42 to Sha Tin Central Bus Terminal;
- Walk 2 mins to MTR Sha Tin Station, take MTR East Rail Line north bound to University Station.
- Take MTR East Rail Line from Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau Station south bound to University Station.
- From Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station, walk 5 mins to MTR Austin Station;
- Take MTR West Rail Line to Hung Hom Station, transfer to East Rail Line to University Station.
- From Hong Kong Port Public Transport Interchange, take bus A41 to Sha Tin Central Bus Terminal;
- Walk 2 mins to MTR Sha Tin Station, take MTR East Rail Line north bound to University Station.

Alternatively, taxis provide the most direct ground transportation option. Major taxi stands are available at the airport, ports, as well as at CUHK (in between MTR University station and Hyatt Regency hotel). Taxis in Hong Kong operate by metre-rate. Each colour category serves a designated geographical region.

Alternative accomodation location would be in Kowloon downtown (e.g. Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui). Hotels there are mostly within 35 minutes of commute to CUHK on normal working days by MTR.
